We are seeking a Founding Engineer, Cloud & Industrial IoT (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

You are responsible for

  • Design and development of a new cloud platform for processing edge sensor data
  • Design of a scalable SaaS architecture, including backend, APIs, and data processing
  • Implementation of data pipelines, data preparation, and customer-specific output channels
  • Ensuring IT security, data protection, and platform stability (monitoring, logging, automation)
  • Technical implementation of various SaaS business and pricing models
  • Close collaboration with business development, sales, and the sensor team
  • Documentation, operation, and ongoing optimization of the cloud solution
  • Support in establishing the new business unit and preparing for technical scaling

You bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (preferably computer science, data science, or a related field)
  • Extensive experience in cloud development (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architectures, programming (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, Java), and API design
  • Experience with IoT/edge communication, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and data pipelines
  • Familiarity with SaaS pricing models and their technical implementation • Expertise in cloud security, GDPR, and modern DevOps processes (CI/CD, IaC)
